The vessel is fitted with 2 MacGregor cranes with a hoisting capacity of 30 tons each and has an ore handling plant with a single ship-loader. It is capable of loading all gearless bulk carrier vessels of up to 185,000 DWT subject to a maximum air draft of 15m. The iron ore is picked up by the cranes from barges and transferred into the deck hoppers. Cargo is then conveyed through the conveyor belt via the loading arm into the mother/seafaring vessel. The conveyor system has the ability to handle 2000 MT/hour. The daily loading capacity is around 25,000 tons per day and the annual handling capacity is2.5 million tons considering fair season handling only.
